Broadway Acres started out in the mid 1960's as a horse farm when we moved to Glenburn and Broadway was the street we lived on.In the early 1990's we started our breeding program.Growing up showing horses and later breeding horses has been of great value in our breeding program.We have owned and loved Labradors for over thirty years.We now live in Newport on 165 acres of open fields and woods,such a nice place for Labradors.I have been involved in music for over fifty years and often name my dogs after Broadway musicals.We are members of The Labrador Retriever Club Inc.,The Greater Boston Labrador Retriever Club,The Atlantic Labrador Retriever Club,The Penobscot Valley kennel Club,Guns Up Hunting Club,Maine Retriever Trial Club.Our primary focus is on producing a structually sound healthly Labrador with a nice temperament and natural trainability.We have been rewarded by producing speciality winners,therapy and service dogs,hunting,agility,obedience and rally titled dogs.But most importantly great family and hunting companions.
